Prof. Tomasz Giaro, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw, Dr. Paweł Widawski – President and Piotr Brewiński – Vice-President of the Management Board of the FinTech Poland, as well as Dr. Kamil Mroczka, General Director of the Office of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, concluded an Agreement on a joint educational venture. On the side of the PFSA, the meeting was also attended by dr hab. Jacek Jastrzębski, prof. UW – Chairman of the PFSA, Jacek Barszczewski – Director of the Social Communication Department and Zbigniew Jacek Wiliński – Director of the FinTech Department.
The Director General of the PFSA and representatives of these institutions, taking advantage of the opportunity to cooperate in the field of education, decided to join forces to jointly launch an initiative to promote knowledge about the financial market. The current international situation, in particular, requires attention to the issue of cybersecurity. This issue is related to and influences many aspects of everyday life, especially those related to finances, while also being one of the arenas of the ongoing struggle in the international arena.
The signed agreement concerns the organization of a series of scientific conferences popularizing knowledge about the financial market. Joint educational activities are designed to raise the level of awareness among students related to supervisory and regulatory challenges for the financial innovation market, including cybercrime threats. The cooperation between the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw, the FinTech Poland and the PFSA will guarantee the involvement of high-class experts in the project, which will ensure the appropriate substantive quality of joint Conferences.
The conferences will be held in Warsaw, and online broadcasts will also be made available on the event website.
