The FinTech Poland Foundation has announced that BNP Paribas Bank Poland has joined the Fintech Poland Ecosystem – a thriving community of digital finance market participants in Poland, consisting of fintechs, mature financial institutions, technology companies, consulting firms, law firms and VC funds, among others.
With the addition of BNP Paribas Bank Poland, the Ecosystem has been enriched with one of the most active financial institutions in Poland in the area of cooperation with fintech startups and implementation of innovative solutions.
The aim of the Fintech Poland Ecosystem is to increase the competitiveness and internationalization of the Polish financial innovation market by undertaking joint initiatives, creating market standards, conducting regulatory dialogue at the national and European levels, and jointly identifying barriers and opportunities for development. The initiative aims to increase interaction between market participants through participation in meetups, working groups, jointly organized seminars and conferences.
– Without a thriving ecosystem that connects all players in the digital finance sector, from fintech startups in the seed and scale up phases, to providers of disruptive financial technologies, to large financial institutions and technology companies, and with the participation of representatives of regulators and supervisors, it will not be possible to build a modern financial sector that is open to the challenges of the future, meets all customer needs and is ready for international expansion. Therefore, the participation in our Ecosystem of Bank BNP Paribas of an institution that is mature, but open to new players and phenomena in the fintech market is particularly valuable,” says Paweł Widawski, President of the FinTech Poland Foundation.
– For more than two years now, the reality has presented the financial sector with an increasing number of challenges, and the needs and expectations of our customers are also changing dynamically. It is our duty to be able to nimbly respond to them, but also to create new opportunities for our clients. That’s why we have been successfully implementing technology solutions from startups and scaleups for years, and this year we went a step further – we presented a dedicated offer and support for innovative companies. There are many more opportunities and challenges, and they are much easier to meet with broad cooperation. We believe in its power, which we have proved with our investment in Autenti, among others, so we are pleased to join the Fintech Poland Ecosystem,” says Paulina Skrzypińska, Chief Innovation Officer of Bank BNP Paribas Polska S.A..
