Intensive and inspiring days in Riga are now behind us. On May 11, FinTech Poland, together with Magnetiq Bank and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Riga, organized the roundtable “Bridging Borders: Poland–Latvia Fintech Collaboration”, followed by one of the key regional industry events – Baltic Fintech Days.
One of the most valuable aspects of the roundtable was the open exchange of experiences around real-world operational challenges – from differences in local market approaches and regulatory expectations to broader macroeconomic conditions shaping fintech growth across the region.
A particularly inspiring takeaway was the openness of the Latvian regulator toward innovation and emerging technologies. Transparent communication, close cooperation with the market, and a business-friendly approach are making Latvia an increasingly attractive destination for fintech development – perhaps even a future “Singapore of Europe”.
Later in the evening, we were honored to participate in a meeting with the Head of Mission of the Republic of Poland in Latvia, Tomasz Szeratics. It was an excellent opportunity to summarize key conclusions and discuss future directions for cooperation between the Polish and Latvian fintech ecosystems.
Baltic Fintech Days once again demonstrated the strong collaboration potential across the CEE and Baltic fintech ecosystems. Thank you to all organizers, partners, and participants for the insightful discussions, knowledge sharing, and inspiring atmosphere.
