We would like to thank everyone who attended the “ESG in FinTech” Conference. It was organized by the FinTech Poland Foundation in cooperation with the Center for Regulation of Financial Services and Technologies (part of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw) and our Partners: PwC Polska, Microsoft and the Polish Financial Ombudsman.
The purpose of the conference was to identify areas and/or challenges that the fintech industry has the best chance to address in terms of helping to implement Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategies in the financial services sector and beyond.
Judging by the turnout (400 attendees – in-person and online) and intensity of discussions during the event, it is clear that ESG is an increasingly important subject not only because of the upcoming regulatory changes, but also thanks to the increased awareness of our shared responsibility for the future of the planet we live on as a society.
To quote one of our speakers, Prof. Bolesław Rok, we are facing an extremely important challenge and time isn’t on our side. What we need are innovative solutions that will radically change the way we act.
The discussion regarding ESG is far from over. We plan to continue it in the future through various events and activities.
