On the evening of December 7th, in Frankfurt, a groundbreaking meeting titled “Introducing Polish Fintech to Frankfurt’s Banks” took place. Leading the Polish delegation comprised of our innovative fintech companies was Paweł Widawski, CEO of FinTech Poland.
It’s hard to envision a more fitting location to promote fintech than Frankfurt, and the city’s support for this initiative is unparalleled! For many years, Germany boasts well-established banking systems intricately woven into the financial fabric. The institutions have meticulously crafted their methodologies, resulting in a robust and reliable financial infrastructure. Germany’s approach is more conservative, with changes implemented thoughtfully and gradually.
In contrast, Poland’s venture into banking is relatively new, making it inherently modern and innovative. This presents a unique advantage, having embraced modernity from the very start. Noteworthy is the openness demonstrated by fintech departments at institutions such as Commerzbank AG neosfer, Deutsche Bank, DZ BANK AG, and Plug and Play Tech Center. This openness signifies a readiness for new solutions in the financial landscape.
New fintech ideas are becoming indispensable with a growing e-commerce sector and widespread digitization. The meeting served as a bridge, fostering collaboration and dialogue between Polish fintech innovators and established financial institutions in Frankfurt. Exciting times lie ahead as we navigate the intersections of tradition and innovation in the financial landscapes of both Poland and Germany.
