From October 29, the first SuperVision FinTech Talks webinar is available at www.supervisiontalks.pl, the webinar was devoted to the issue of open banking. As part of the meeting, among others, the sandbox of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (UKNF) was presented.
As part of the meeting, Zbigniew Wiliński, Director of the FinTech Financial Innovation Department at the Office of the UKNF, presented a presentation on the principles of operation of the sandbox. Well-known experts related to the fintech sector were invited to the debate in the discussion panel – Katarzyna Seweryniak – Director of the Banking Licensing Department at the UKNF, Alicja Łosowska – Compliance Manager from Kontomatik, Sławomir Szepietowski – Managing Partner at Bird & Bird and Emil Radziszewski – Director of the Cooperative Credit Union Department Savings and Credit and Payment Institutions at the UKNF Office. As part of the discussion, the benefits of testing solutions based on an environment built in accordance with the requirements of the PSD2 directive were analyzed. The specialists assessed how the open banking market functions in Poland one year after the regulation came into force and summarized together what had been achieved during that time, both in the area of supervision and market activity. An important part of the discussion was the assessment of the need to launch the Sandbox KNF diagnosis which aspects of open banking in Poland require refinement and implementation of changes.
