We had the honor of meeting with the European Commissioner for Financial Services, Capital Markets Union, and the Economy, Maria Luís Albuquerque, along with her cabinet and the Representation of the European Commission in Poland.
During the meeting, we had the opportunity to present Fintech Poland’s initiatives, as well as the Deuss Project – European Blockchain Project for SME Financing. The discussion was highly engaging, with Commissioner Albuquerque showing great interest in the challenges and opportunities fintechs face as a key driver of financial innovation.
Alongside Paweł Widawski and Piotr Brewiński, valuable insights were also shared by key leaders: Dariusz Mazurkiewicz (BLIK), Marcin Adamczyk (Autopay), and Michał Łukasik (Kontomatik). Their perspectives highlighted the dynamic growth of the sector in Poland and the importance of fostering a regulatory environment that supports further innovation.
The conversation took place in a constructive and open atmosphere, allowing for a valuable exchange of perspectives on the regulatory and market landscape shaping the future of the sector in Europe.
