We are pleased to announce that Prof. Marcin Piątkowski will deliver a keynote speech at Future Finance Summit 2026, the flagship conference of Warsaw Finance Week.
Prof. Piątkowski is an economist, Professor at Kozminski University and Lead Economist at the World Bank. Previously, he served as Chief Economist and Managing Director of PKO BP, worked as an economist at the International Monetary Fund and advised Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance. His work focuses on economic development, innovation and competitiveness.
He is also the author of “Europe’s Growth Champion: Insights from the Economic Rise of Poland”, an extensive analysis of Poland’s remarkable economic transformation and the factors behind its growth over the past three decades.
This perspective will be particularly relevant at this year’s Future Finance Summit. Poland has reached a moment when its economic success can become a foundation for building the next generation of competitive advantages. A key part of this conversation is the role of a modern financial sector – its ability to finance innovation and investment, help Polish companies scale internationally, attract capital and talent, and strengthen the country’s position in the global economy.
Future Finance Summit will take place on 4 November 2026 in Warsaw and will be the central event of Warsaw Finance Week 2026, taking place on 3–5 November.
This year’s Summit is designed as a call to action – moving the conversation beyond where Poland and its financial sector stand today towards a more important question: what should we do now to make the most of Poland’s current momentum?
