Business Breakfast with Julianus: Busy Crossing Borders: From AI and partnerships to execution in neobanks — the new dimension of debt collection.

September 29@09:00-12:00

New technologies, evolving business models and the digitalisation of financial services require not only new tools, but also a different approach to legal, operational and debt collection processes.

During the Business Breakfast organised by FinTech Poland and Julianus Inkasso, we will explore three real-life stories showing how unconventional approaches can translate into more effective outcomes.

We will discuss the informed and responsible selection of AI tools for lawyers and the evolution from traditional outsourcing towards genuine business partnership.

The discussion will be based on practical experience and concrete examples, focusing on how to choose solutions that respond to new technological and business realities instead of automatically relying on established approaches.

This will not be a theoretical discussion about AI, collaboration or debt management. We will look at real challenges, decisions made and practical solutions implemented.

We will discuss:

  • how to responsibly select and implement AI tools for lawyers, taking into account actual needs, risks and business value,
  • when a general-purpose AI solution is sufficient and when a specialised tool may be a better choice,
  • where traditional outsourcing ends and genuine business partnership begins,
  • how the sharing of knowledge, responsibility and engagement affects the effectiveness of cooperation,
  • whether a debtor can successfully hide funds in foreign bank accounts.

Agenda

9:00–9:30 | Registration, breakfast & networking

Breakfast, morning coffee and informal conversations with representatives of the fintech, financial, legal and technology sectors.

9:30–9:40 | Opening

9:40–10:00 | Story 1: Which AI for Lawyers? Introducing Change Responsibly
Maciej Kwiatkowski, Julianus

A practical comparison of general-purpose AI solutions for lawyers.

We will show:

  • how different tools perform on comparable tasks,
  • why the right instructions, context and verification of outputs matter,
  • when a general-purpose solution may be sufficient,
  • when it is worth considering a specialised tool,
  • how to make AI-related decisions based on needs, risks and business value.

Key question: Are there AI tools that can genuinely win over even the most sceptical lawyers?

10:00–10:30 | Story 2: Still Outsourcing or Already a Partnership?
Iwona Konopka, Julianus

A practical case study showing how cooperation between a client and a debt management company can move beyond the traditional client–service provider model.

We will show:

  • what distinguishes service delivery from shared responsibility for results,
  • why knowledge sharing and transparency are essential,
  • how to identify barriers together and adapt actions accordingly,
  • when a partner’s flexibility becomes tangible business value,
  • how to build a model of cooperation around a shared objective.

Key question: At what point does a service provider become a business partner?

10:30–11:00 | Story 3: The End of “Invisible” Accounts? Debt Enforcement Reaches Neobanks
Robert Graczyński, Julianus

A business case in which achieving the desired result required going beyond the standard approach.

We will show:

  • the unusual challenge the client approached us with,
  • why the standard process proved insufficient,
  • what barriers emerged along the way,
  • how we searched for a viable solution,
  • what creditors and financial institutions can learn from this case.

Key question: Does the growth of digital financial services mean that debtors can effectively hide their funds?

11:00–12:00 | Networking & Coffee

An opportunity to continue the discussion, exchange experiences and connect with representatives of the fintech, financial, legal and technology sectors.

Join us for three real-life stories demonstrating that competitive advantage is built not by tools and procedures alone, but by informed decisions, a partnership mindset and the willingness to think beyond established approaches.
