The FinTech Poland and Biuro Informacji Kredytowej signed an agreement on strategic cooperation. The goal is a partnership to support and develop a culture of financial innovation in Poland as part of the BIK HUB technological sandbox program. It is a synergy of experiences and competencies of BIK in building analytical and IT solutions for the financial sector, connected with the Foundation’s community, which actively supports the development of the Polish FinTech ecosystem.
The group of strategic partners of the BIK HUB Program is joined by FinTech Poland, whose mission is to support proactive and bold activities supporting financial innovation, both carried out by mature financial institutions and new market participants. This fits in with the concept of an innovative BIK initiative – an environment for testing new solutions for companies interested in the development of innovative products and services. This is a signal that in the world of financial products and services, partners are joining forces who want to be active in the area of innovation.
– We are very pleased that the FinTech Poland Foundation strengthens the group of strategic partners of the BIK HUB Program, the main element of which is the technological “sandbox” – says Dr Mariusz Cholewa, President of the Board of Credit Information Bureau. – The Foundation’s experience in creating trends in the development of financial innovations in Poland is a valuable contribution to the development and popularization of our Program, which we address to entities from various sectors of the economy interested in the practical testing of their prototype solutions in a safe environment. Soon it will be possible thanks to the BIK Open API pilot initiative, i.e. a platform integrating data from various external sources – explains the president of BIK.
As part of the implementation of the agreement, FinTech Poland will provide substantive support in the implementation of the Program and engage in business consultations, it will also promote the BIK HUB Program, including by recruiting and supporting the process of testing solutions by participants of the IT sandbox. Together with BIK, it will also organize educational and business events.
– The strategic goal of the FinTech Poland Foundation is to build a New Generation Financial Center in Poland. One of its pillars is innovation, the constant improvement of which is one of the most important challenges currently facing Poland. Therefore, cooperation with BIK in building an ecosystem around modern financial services as part of a technological sandbox is part of the activities of FinTech Poland. We would like the project to reach the widest possible group of entities and meet their needs. Therefore, bearing in mind our experience and knowledge of cooperation between fintechs and traditional financial institutions, we joined the Program as a strategic partner – says Paweł Widawski, President of FinTech Poland.
